The point of your life is not the destination, it is the journey itself. By mastering the journey, you get the point. It is important for you to realize that your current weight and/or your goal weight is not your "destination", it is simply part of your overall journey through life.

How you deal with your weight and your self image determines the quality of your journey.

If you are like most people who have struggled with weight, you probably have a noisy inner critic. Your inner critic tells you things that make you doubt yourself, feel bad about yourself, and sets you up for self-sabotage and triggers emotional eating. Your inner critic sets you on an emotional rollercoaster, often times seeking relief through unsupportive means (poor food choices, addictions, etc).

Now, when you decide to tame your inner critic, you will find that reaching your goal weight becomes easier. Releasing the habit of emotional eating, or stress eating, is a process and will not happen overnight. It is part of your journey to your ideal weight and vibrant health. You can decide if you want that part of your journey to be gentle and easy, or frustrating and overwhelming.

Consistent practice over time is the key to long term success.

Small changes can make profound differences in the quality of your journey and your life.

NASA researchers determined it only takes 21-42 days to creat a new habit pattern. The beginning of your journey to create a new habit will require conscious effort on your part. However, it won't be too long before your efforts will pay off because what was once a conscious effort on your part will become more automatic, requiring less and less conscious effort. It is for this reason we recommend a 4-6 week program, that way we can work together to establish the new habits.

What makes "Mastering the Journey" different from every other weight loss and weight management programs?

When I work with you we will not talk about what foods you should eat, or how often you should exercise. You already know most of that.

As you work with me, you will learn the tools and techniques to master your emotions and quiet the negative self talk inside your mind. As you gain greater control over your body's response to stressful situations, you also gain greater strength in your convictions and dedication to reaching your goals. Before you know it emotional eating, stress eating, will become a thing of the past and reaching your goal weight will be within sight.

Your program will consist of two basic components.

Component #1:

Stopping Emotional Eating®- This coaching is based on proven techniques developed by the Insitute of HeartMath. As a licensed 1:1 HeartMath® Provider I will guide you step by step as you make small consistent changes for long term success. The package consists of eight 30 minute coaching calls, the book "Stopping Emotional Eating", and an emWave® PSR.

These techniques will not only help you quiet the inner critic and eliminate emotional eating, but will also trickle over into many other areas of your life. Just imagine how good your life can be with less stress in it...

 

Component #2: (This is included with the Stopping Emotional Eating® coaching package.)

The emWave®PSR (personal stress reliever) is a great tool to show you exactly what is working and what is not as you practice your stress management techniques. It is an integral part of the Stopping Emotional Eating® coaching program and is included in the price.

Component #3: (This component is optional)

Hypnotherapy- Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool to faciliate change. If you can imagine it, you can create it. Together we can shift the subconscious programming of your mind to support you in your goals. Specifically, we will work on creating a new set point weight, optimizing your metabolism, and creating an overall healthy blueprint. If needed, we can also customize additional support to address the habit of emotional eating.
